When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not collect your name, phone number, or payment information directly — payments are handled by third-party processors.
When you use the app, we store the content you upload (notes, PDFs, text), the flashcard decks generated from that content, your study session history, quiz responses, and performance data (correct/incorrect answers, streaks, token usage).
We do not sell this data. We do not share it with advertisers.
Your uploaded content is used solely to generate study materials for your personal use via the Gemini AI API (Google). We send your content to Google's API to generate flashcards and conduct study sessions. Google's API usage is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Your performance data (wrong answers, streaks, session history) is used to personalise your study experience — specifically, to enable spaced repetition, weak spot drilling, and the persistent mistake memory feature (“Rap Sheet”).
Your email is used for account authentication and, if you opt in, transactional notifications (e.g., confirmation emails).
Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days.
Celk uses Google's Gemini API to generate study content and simulate the character of Inmate #4207. The AI's responses are generated dynamically and are not reviewed by human staff before delivery. We are not responsible for factual errors in AI-generated content — always verify critical information against authoritative sources.
The “Savage” and “Unhinged” tones involve strong language and critical feedback. This content is generated by AI under your explicit instruction. By selecting these tones, you acknowledge that you requested this style of interaction.
We use session cookies for authentication (managed by Supabase Auth). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. We may use anonymous analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which features are used most). This data is never linked to individual identities.

Celk is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account from within the app settings. For data access requests or questions, contact us at the address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
